  • WVU Retirees Trip to the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, June 17

    Friday, May 11, 2018

Retirees are going to the symphony. We’ll travel to Heinz Hall in Pittsburgh to hear Ax plays Beethoven’s “Emperor.” The symphony website calls Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 5, “Emperor” the quintessential concerto for the piano. They say the “Emperor” has it all – a striking opening, hymn-like adagio, and a glorious finish. Reservations for this trip are due by May 31, 2018.
